The Lee's Self-Start Ultra Gravel Vacuum Cleaner simplifies aquarium maintenance by efficiently separating and removing debris from gravel during routine water changes. Its self-starting siphon initiates water flow with ease, eliminating the need for manual priming.

Key Features:

  • Wide-Mouth Nozzle: Increases surface coverage by approximately 20%, enabling faster and more efficient cleaning with less water usage.

  • Ultra Hose Clip: Securely holds the hose in place, allowing for hands-free operation and added convenience.

  • Various Sizes Available: Offered in multiple sizes to accommodate different aquarium dimensions and cleaning needs.

Designed for both novice and experienced aquarists, Lee's Self-Start Ultra Gravel Vacuum Cleaner streamlines the cleaning process, ensuring a healthier environment for your aquatic life.

Step 1: Prepare the Equipment

  • Remove the gravel vacuum and hose from the packaging.

  • Attach the hose to the gravel tube if it isn’t already connected.

  • Place the Ultra Hose Clip on the edge of your bucket to hold the hose in place during cleaning.

Step 2: Submerge the Gravel Tube

  • Place the gravel tube vertically into your aquarium water, ensuring it fills completely with water (eliminating air bubbles).

  • Let the hose hang into the bucket, which should be positioned below the level of the tank for proper siphoning.

Step 3: Activate the Siphon

  • To start the siphon, simply move the gravel vacuum tube up and down rapidly in the tank water. The self-start feature will automatically begin water flow without the need to suck or manually prime.

Step 4: Begin Cleaning

  • Push the gravel tube into the substrate and lift slightly to allow debris and waste to be pulled into the tube while the gravel falls back down.

  • Work methodically across the bottom of the tank to clean evenly.

Step 5: Monitor Water Level

  • Watch the water level in your tank and stop siphoning once you've removed the desired amount (usually 20–30% during a routine water change).

Step 6: Finish Up

  • Remove the gravel tube from the tank and allow any remaining water to drain into the bucket.

  • Dispose of the dirty water and rinse the gravel vacuum with clean water before storing.

Tips:

  • Use during regular water changes (weekly or bi-weekly) for best tank health.

  • Avoid disturbing delicate plants or decorations during cleaning.
